The Nike Women’s Downshifter 10 Running Shoes is a standard model that fits the budget for casual athletes, beginners and regular runners. It does, however, provide the most uplifting feature and some nice features that completely exceeded my expectations. Several times I thought of comparing it to other running shoes. And in the end, I have to say it was all but a failure from Nike.

Above all, I really like two things about the Nike Downshifter 10. The unspoken EVA midsole and the lightness of the whole shoe. The midsole is very thick. Not as high-quality Nike models, as the Nike Zoom Fly 3, and not in a shocking way as it did in Nike Zoom Gravity. But in reality, they feel completely supportive and protective. In terms of cushioning, I found it better than the Nike Downshifter 9. Which is a good continuation of this series.
Next, light … It’s almost unbelievable that a shoe like the Nike Downshifter 10 is much lighter when folded tightly. I tested the model in my size 9 (UK) and it weighs only 257 grams. That is one of the simplest models I have ever had as a person. On average, running shoes weigh more than 320 grams. So in this case, this shoe you can easily take not only running but also internal exercise or exercise. You will not feel like a heavy burden at any time.
moreover, the upper shoe is made of one more synthetic piece, which is attached to a TPU piece in the middle part of the shoe. As well as lacing, that keeps your feet well locked inside and maintains a good balance at all times. The Nike Downshifter 10 is also very wide on the toebox. If you as a woman have advanced halux, this may be a good option for you.
Nike Downshifter 10 Intro
This Downshifter version is a 10 iteration level entry, a modified shoe from Nike. Costs are kept down by minimal design and low-cost materials, as well as unspoken foam on the rocks.
Known for its long-lasting functional, low cost does not mean the low performance of the Nike Downshifter 10, and this version incorporates enhanced design and release of earlier versions.
Nike Downshifter 10 First Appearance
When I opened the Downshifter 10 box, I was impressed with how they looked and felt at hand.
The finish was detailed and smooth, yet minimalist, but what stood out most of them was how they felt breathable and light.
As soon as I installed Downshifter 10s, they were comfortable with no tight spaces. Slight, heavier, heavier wrinkles on the foot and less noticeable.
By size, I was about half the size of Downshifter vs the Revolution 5 and felt the balance in Downshifter 10 was the same as the pair of Revolution 5’s I had, thus making Downshifter 10 on the smaller side of both. length and especially width.
Consider measuring half or full size at the top, or avoiding it altogether if you have a wide foot (a shoe of the same size in the Nike React Miler has a very wide toe box).
With clever design, with a shoe with a low running value, the Downshifter 10 looks great in my opinion. From a distance, it looks like a Pegasus 37, with a deep sole, and a slightly extended rear sole.
There is a huge range of colors ranging from monochrome to bright and pastel shades to suit every taste.
In the first run, the cushion under the midfoot and heel was impressive and felt soft without exhausting.
Nike Downshifter 10 Unit Only
Compared to its similarly priced cousin, the Nike Revolution 5, the only unit of the Downshifter is the development and it touches me the most.
The Downshifter is very compact and responsive and sounds like a premium line running shoe.
Compared to its predecessor, Downshifter 9, the 10th iteration has been updated for support and configuration on the midsole as well.
Although this foam is not one of Nike’s best brands, e.g. React, or ZoomX, did an excellent job of reducing foot strike over short and long distances.
And it falls below half the number of these high-grade species.
The new outdoor footwrap was one of my favorite parts of the shoe, adding to the TPU cage structure to keep the foot secure. Flex grooves keep the shoe weight low and the flexibility of the sole up.
The only downside to this was collecting a lot of mud and grass on the run and it was very difficult to clean.
The split outsole is a copy of the Pegasus 37 premium design that offers good traction, flexibility, and smooth transitions. The rubber outsole in the most abrasive areas will still show signs of aging after 50 miles.
Nike Downshifter 10 Extra Unit
The surface is a single layer, with a small respiratory net, which is almost shiny. The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets.
The tongue is slightly flattened but very small, moving slowly during the run. The heel counter is tight, keeping the heel closed off without slipping, which was always comfortably near my foot.
I took off my shoe and ran in the middle of the Dutch heatwave and it was very breathable. The next day it rained, it was wet, and my feet got wet right away. The shoe took more than 24 hours to dry.
The design of the middle swoosh follows the sole wrap and the heel inserts the tape with the ‘Nike Running’ logo, which is the same as the clothing range (great details, if like me you like to match your gym coat!), A total of 14 swoosh per pair!
Conclusion
In conclusion, of The Nike Women’s Downshifter 10 running shoes, All in all, I really liked the Nike Downshifter 10. I tested the shoe for just over 30 miles. So I can’t say how strong it really is. But from what I’ve seen and done, I can say it’s great for short to medium grades and easy training.
